As part of the reform aimed at transitioning to a 12-year education system, new educational materials will be introduced gradually. This was announced by Daniyar Ashymov, the chief editor of the state institution "Publishing House 'Okuu Kitebi'," on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

As Ashymov noted, the "Altyn Kazyq" program, which is the foundation for the transition to a twelve-year system, focuses on the implementation of new educational and methodological complexes (EMC) for mathematics and natural sciences. Licensed rights have been purchased from the Singaporean international publisher "Marshall Cavendish" for educational materials in STEM subjects (mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics) and English language.

The EMC includes a textbook, a student workbook, and a teacher's guide.
This academic year, the introduction of textbooks for STEM subjects for students in the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades is planned, in both Russian and Kyrgyz languages. Next year, the program will be expanded for students in the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grades. English textbooks for grades 3 to 9 have already been adapted, and there are plans to purchase rights and introduce English textbooks up to the 12th grade to ensure a complete range of materials. Additionally, in collaboration with Russia, textbooks for the Russian language and literature for the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades will be prepared,” he added.

For the printing of textbooks in 2025, 744 million soms have been allocated from the state budget.
