As part of this partnership, the Ministry of Education and UNICEF will work on updating curricula, enhancing teacher qualifications, and creating more accessible educational opportunities for children with disabilities and special educational needs.

According to the Minister of Education, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, this project fully aligns with the country's long-term reform strategy, including the transition to a 12-year school education system, modernization of educational materials, and the integration of digital technologies into teaching.

Additionally, UNICEF will support the improvement of teaching and learning quality and promote inclusive education ideas until 2029. UNICEF will also provide technical assistance in developing new quality educational materials for educators and enhancing their professional development.

The project plans to create ten model inclusive schools and develop a National Roadmap for inclusive education.

Currently, the amount of project funding has not been disclosed.
