UNICEF in Kyrgyzstan has announced the creation of a new Business Advisory Council focused on protecting children's rights. This initiative will bring together the largest companies in the country that are eager to promote children's rights.

This partnership is part of UNICEF's global strategy, aimed at prioritizing the protection of children's rights in workplaces, communities, and markets.

As part of the council's work, companies will be able to coordinate their efforts, share successful practices, and collaborate with UNICEF to improve the situation of children in the country. Council members will also be able to participate in addressing vital issues such as child safety, inclusive education, nutrition, digital safety, and creating comfortable working conditions for families.

"Business shapes the environment in which children grow, from their parents' work to the products they use and the information they receive. UNICEF in Kyrgyzstan is proud to collaborate with leading companies in the country to protect children's rights and create new opportunities for their development. I am pleased to see so many companies ready to take decisive steps to create a safer and fairer environment for every child," noted Samman Tapa, UNICEF representative in Kyrgyzstan.

During the event, data and analytics on key issues affecting children's lives in Kyrgyzstan were presented, including child poverty, educational outcomes, inclusion of children with disabilities, as well as nutrition and digital safety issues.
