The process of transitioning to a 12-year education system includes the phased introduction of new textbooks in schools. This was discussed on the air of "Birinchi Radio" by Daniyar Ashymov, the editor-in-chief of the state institution "Publishing House 'Okuu Kitebi'."

According to him, the main focus of the "Altyn Kazyq" program, related to the transition to the 12-year system, will be on the implementation of new educational and methodological complexes (EMCs) for STEM subjects, as well as natural sciences and mathematics. The licensing rights for these textbooks were acquired from the international publisher "Marshall Cavendish" from Singapore.

The complexes include textbooks, workbooks for students, and methodological guides for teachers.
“In the current academic year, we are starting with the introduction of STEM textbooks for 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades in Russian and Kyrgyz languages. Next year, we plan to cover 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grades to expand the available resources. Adapted English language textbooks for 3rd to 9th grades have also been prepared. In the future, we intend to purchase rights and implement English textbooks up to the 12th grade to ensure a complete range from 3rd to 12th grade. Additionally, in collaboration with Russia, textbooks for the Russian language and literature for 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades will be prepared,” said Daniyar Ashymov.

In 2025, 744 million soms will be allocated from the state budget for the printing of textbooks.
