The II Kyrgyz-Korean Seminar on Cooperation in the Field of Textbooks Took Place in Bishkek

On December 12, the II Kyrgyz-Korean seminar took place in Bishkek, organized by the Embassy of Korea in Kyrgyzstan in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The aim of the event was to strengthen cooperation in the field of textbooks and educational content.

According to the embassy's press service, the seminar focused on sharing experiences regarding the Korean system of curricula and textbooks, as well as discussing policies in the area of digital educational content and the current situation in Kyrgyzstan.

About 30 people participated in the seminar, including specialists from the ministries of education of both countries, representatives from the State Publishing House "Okuu Kitebi," experts from relevant organizations, and other education professionals.

Korean Ambassador Kim Kwang-dae emphasized the importance of dialogue on cooperation in the field of textbooks during the reform of Kyrgyzstan's educational system.

Deputy Minister of Education Lira Samykbaeva noted that educational reform in the country is a state task aimed at a comprehensive update of curricula, textbooks, digital educational materials, and teacher training.

The seminar covered six thematic areas and concluded with a panel discussion, during which participants agreed on further expanding cooperation and developing joint projects in the future.
