Recently in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan, residents actively discussed the snow sculptures installed in the "Fairy Town." These works of art became the subject of irony and criticism on social media, as reported by Tengrinews.kz.
Local residents were particularly interested in the budget spent on the New Year's decorations, questioning: "Did it really cost 11 million tenge?"
In response to the criticism, representatives of the local akimat stated that not a single tenge from the city budget was spent on the creation of these snow objects. Nevertheless, considering the negative reaction to the architectural forms, a decision was made to dismantle them. In conclusion, officials apologized to the residents of Stepnogorsk.
