It is important to note that this New Year’s shopping trip may be the last at the familiar Osh market, as the construction of a new shopping complex is planned to be completed next year.
Fruit Prices and Their Origins
First, we turned to fruits, and the sellers shared information about where the products come from and which ones are the most popular.The seller noted that the demand for pineapples is traditionally high before the New Year: "We sell a lot of pineapples before the holidays. Perhaps this is because people associate this fruit with New Year celebrations. Pineapples from China cost 180 soms per kilogram, while Brazilian ones start at 300 soms. In terms of taste, Brazilian pineapples are much better, but the choice remains with the buyer," he said.
Pomegranates can be purchased for prices ranging from 220 to 280 soms per kilogram, with people mainly preferring Uzbek ones.

Meat Product Prices
A kilogram of beef will cost 700 soms, while boneless meat is 750 soms. Minced meat costs 700 soms, and beef legs used for aspic are 450 soms.We remind you that until December 31, there is state price regulation on meat (except boneless), and exceeding these prices is subject to fines.
