In Russia, the withdrawal of large sums from ATMs has started to be blocked

According to information published by Meduza, Russian banks have started to limit the ability to withdraw significant amounts of cash through ATMs.

When attempting to carry out such a transaction, the specific amount of which is not specified, the client encounters a block. The bank contacts them by phone to confirm the transaction.

After successful confirmation, the client is informed that they will be able to attempt to withdraw cash again in five minutes.

Upon re-approaching, the client will be issued the requested amount.
