Citizens are urged to be cautious
In the lead-up to the holidays, law enforcement agencies have recorded a widespread distribution of fake links disguised as greetings, gifts, and giveaways. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to information from the police, scammers are sending messages promising cash prizes, gifts, or bonuses in the name of government institutions, banks, or well-known personalities. By clicking on such links, citizens are asked to enter their bank card details, personal information, or confirmation codes. This information is then used for stealing funds and hacking accounts.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly recommends being vigilant, avoiding suspicious links, and not sharing personal data, even if the message appears to be official or comes from an acquaintance.
