Recently, an open meeting was held in the residential area of "Ak-Bata" at Secondary School No. 43, where the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, met with residents of the new territories that have been annexed to the city. The information was provided by the press service of the mayor's office.
Among the participants were residents of the districts "Lebedinovka," "305-MAB," "Nurkhojo-Ata," "Ak-Zhar," "Alamudun," "Lower Ala-Archa," and "MTF-2," which are now part of the Sverdlovsk district as a result of the administrative reform.
During the meeting, important social and infrastructure issues were discussed, with a focus on problems related to water supply, road conditions, sewage, and the lack of public transport.
Regarding transportation and the road network, Ulanbek Beyshenbaev, head of the transport department, noted that new eight-meter buses would only be put into operation after the repair and restoration of the road surface is completed.
The mayor also added that until the issues of water supply and sewage are resolved, road repair work will not begin. In accordance with the president's directive, a special Program for the Development of Newly Joined Districts until 2030 has been developed.
The total budget of the program is about 9 billion soms, of which approximately 2.5-3 billion soms have already been allocated for its implementation this year.
Additionally, issues related to land plots were discussed at the meeting. Aibek Junushaliev emphasized that during the construction of roads, the mayor's office would demolish illegally placed outbuildings and new foundations; however, previously identified illegal residential houses would not be subject to demolition.
He also noted that in the future, the construction of illegal facilities is unacceptable.
As a result of the meeting, the mayor instructed the heads of the relevant services and departments to take specific measures for the prompt and quality resolution of the raised issues and to establish deadlines for their implementation.
