
Samarkbek Bolotbekov has been appointed as the deputy director of the state enterprise 'Kyrgyzpharmacia' as part of new personnel decisions made by the organization's leadership.
In the press release, the state enterprise notes that this appointment is aimed at improving the management structure and enhancing legal support in the enterprise's activities, which should contribute to effective, transparent, and sustainable centralized procurement of medications and medical devices for healthcare.
Samarkbek Bolotbekov is a graduate of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, where he earned a bachelor's degree with honors in 'Law'. He also holds a master's degree in international law and is a candidate of political sciences. Additionally, he has a lawyer's license.
His biography includes work in leadership positions in various government institutions, including the head of the Sverdlovsk district administration of Bishkek and the mayor of the city of Naryn, as well as the director of the individual housing construction department of the capital's mayor's office.
Furthermore, he founded the law firm 'Lux-Consult' and is an expert on several international and public projects related to law and development.
Earlier, the media reported that the state enterprise 'Kyrgyzpharmacia' was headed by historian and diplomat Bolot Junusov.
It is important to note that 'Kyrgyzpharmacia' has repeatedly received complaints from patients and the public. As stated by the organization, problems do exist; however, they often arise because hospitals submit requests late or incompletely.
The Ministry of Health has decided to check the work of the state enterprise.
According to reports, about 95 percent of medical products in the republic are procured through imports.
