Recently, a meeting took place between the leadership of the Ministry of Education, headed by Dogdurkul Kendirbaev, and the parents of students from the special educational boarding school for blind and visually impaired children. The discussion also included First Deputy Minister Mukhtarbek Baymurzaev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Bakai Turdugulov, and Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Victoria Mozgacheva.

The main topic of the meeting was the project for the construction of a new boarding school in the village of Tash-Dobo.

According to Bakai Turdugulov, the implementation of this project will help create a modern educational complex that will include educational buildings, a dormitory, sports grounds, and a swimming pool, ensuring comfortable and safe conditions for the education and living of children.

Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva emphasized the importance of the school's location near medical institutions, which will simplify inter-agency cooperation and ensure timely medical assistance for students.

"The creation of a new complex will open additional opportunities for inclusive education and the introduction of modern educational technologies, which will aid the comprehensive development of children with visual impairments. We listened to the opinions of parents and educators, and all their suggestions will be taken into account, with the interests of the children remaining a priority," the Ministry of Education added.

It should be noted that the parents of the students are protesting against the relocation of the school from Bishkek to Tash-Dobo. A petition has been created stating that moving to such a remote area will significantly complicate children's access to the educational institution.

The school was founded in 1939 and currently educates 220 children from all over the country. The educational process is organized for children aged 6 to 7 years from grades 1 to 11, taking into account the peculiarities of visual impairments and using Braille within general and auxiliary programs.
