Parents of children attending the specialized boarding school for the blind and visually impaired on Kulatov Street in Bishkek expressed concern about the possible relocation of the educational institution to Chon-Aryk.
The reason for this is the intention to transfer the land where the school is located to an investor.
Currently, more than 200 children are enrolled in the institution, 95 of whom come to classes with their parents, while the others live in the boarding school.
The school was founded in 1939 and has been providing education to children with visual impairments for many years.
Parents plan to address their concerns about the relocation to government authorities.
The Ministry of Education emphasized that they have not received any information regarding the possible relocation of the school. If such an initiative arises, it will be considered in accordance with established procedures.
It is worth noting that the idea of developing land occupied by social institutions has been longstanding. For example, a multi-apartment building has already been constructed on the territory of the Nursing Home.
