
The choice of this location is due to its extensive territory, which provides excellent conditions for creating new infrastructure facilities from scratch. The station offers ample space for organizing multimodal terminals, warehouse facilities, and other auxiliary structures.
The new logistics center will be a significant step towards eliminating existing shortcomings in the logistics infrastructure, which in turn will enhance Kyrgyzstan's competitiveness on the international stage and create additional opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. It is expected that the construction of the center will also positively impact the socio-economic development of the Chui region, creating new jobs and increasing the country's transit potential.
Previously, a grant from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Union was allocated for the implementation of the preliminary feasibility study (pre-FS) for the construction of the logistics center at the Ivanovka station. The conducted pre-FS confirmed the viability of this project.
Currently, active work is underway to create a full-fledged feasibility study (FS) for the construction of the logistics center at the Ivanovka station.
On January 29 of this year, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives from the state enterprise "NC Kyrgyz Temir Zholu," EBRD, and the EU, where issues of financing the development of the FS for the project were discussed. As a result of this event, representatives of the EBRD and the EU confirmed their readiness to provide grant funding for the development of a full-fledged FS for the project.
Meeting participants noted the importance of this project, which has the potential to significantly improve the transportation and logistics infrastructure of the country, create new jobs, and stimulate economic development in the region.
This project is aimed at modernizing railway transport and strengthening the role of the state enterprise "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu" in ensuring the sustainable development of the transport system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
