In Kyrgyzstan, about 82% of mortality cases are attributed to non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This is reported by the Bishkek Center for Health Promotion.

Among the main diseases are cardiovascular, oncological, respiratory diseases, and diabetes.

Known risk factors include unhealthy diets, lack of physical activity, smoking, and alcohol abuse.
According to the STEPS study, 76.2% of the population is insufficiently physically active, 44% smoke, and 48.9% consume alcohol. Moreover, about 50-55% of our health depends on lifestyle, indicating that the prevention of NCDs begins not in a medical institution, but in everyday decisions.

Regular physical activity contributes to improved circulation, weight control, normalization of sugar and cholesterol levels, which in turn reduces the risk of hypertension, stroke, diabetes, and cancer.
It is important to note that activities do not necessarily have to take place in a gym. Just 30 minutes of moderate activity a day—such as brisk walking, dancing, gardening, or playing with children—can bring significant benefits.

More intense physical activities, such as running, swimming, cycling, sports games, or physical labor, further strengthen the cardiovascular system.

However, the maximum effect is achieved only with a comprehensive approach: a combination of physical activity, balanced nutrition, and the abandonment of harmful habits. Such simple and accessible solutions in everyday life can preserve health for many years.
