Kumarbek Abdyrov, detained on suspicion of murdering 17-year-old Aysulu M. and several other women, was found dead in a pre-trial detention center. The State Penitentiary Service confirmed the information about his suicide. He was arrested in October of last year after the disappearance of the underage Aysulu, who was traveling from the village of Barskoon to Jenish but did not return home. According to the investigation, surveillance cameras recorded her getting into a Honda Stream car driven by Abdyrov. The investigation claims that he took the girl to an apple orchard, where he committed violent acts and killed her, after which he discarded her body into the Boom Gorge.
During interrogations after his detention in Bishkek, Abdyrov confessed to other crimes as well. In 2006, he attacked a girl with an iron rod while she was walking with her mother and took her phone. At that time, his relatives requested reconciliation since he was the only son, and ultimately the court imposed a fine of 5,000 soms. In 2011, the body of a girl who had gone missing a month earlier was found in the village of Orok. She was eight months pregnant and had been raped and killed.
19-year-old Kamila Duyshbaeva disappeared on March 10, 2014, in Bishkek. Six days later, her body, showing signs of strangulation with her own scarf, was found in the village of Baytik. Three days later, the body of 22-year-old M.S.N., also raped and strangled, was found on Razzakov Street. In 2015, Abdyrov attempted to kill another girl by throwing her into a canal and throwing a large stone at her, which hit her arm. Fortunately, the victim survived and managed to reach the hospital. A year later, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison, but the sentence was later reduced to seven years.
