
Due to the upcoming precipitation, there is a likelihood of avalanches in the mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) on February 9.
According to the MES data, avalanche-prone areas are present on the following roads, where snow drifts, ice, and slippery conditions are also possible:
Bishkek — Osh: 121-138 km (Tuu-Ashuu Pass), 198–255 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);
Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya: 65-101 km (Chapchyma Pass);
Krasnaya Gorka — Ak-Tash: 0-3 km;
Myrza-Ake — Kara-Kulja — Alaykuu: 65-110 km;
Karokul — Enilchek: 45-90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass).
Additionally, the agency emphasizes the importance of maintaining a distance of 500 meters between vehicles when passing through avalanche-prone areas.
