According to specialists from the Bishkek Center for Health Strengthening, about 82% of all deaths in Kyrgyzstan are caused by non-communicable diseases. These include cardiovascular diseases, oncological diseases, respiratory diseases, and diabetes.

The STEPS study showed that 76.2% of the population leads an insufficiently active lifestyle, 44% smoke, and 48.9% consume alcohol.

"It is important to note that more than half of our health (50–55%) depends on our lifestyle," emphasize the center's experts.

Doctors recommend regular physical activity:

Experts note that exercising does not necessarily have to be done in a gym. Just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity a day—whether it's brisk walking, dancing, gardening, or playing with children—can already be beneficial.
