Drivers warned about the possible avalanche risk on mountain roads

From February 11 to 13, precipitation is expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, which creates a risk of avalanches and snowdrifts. The press service of the Ministry of Transport also reports the possibility of ice formation and worsening road conditions in certain areas.

Dangerous sections of the roads include:

Bishkek - Osh: km 121–138 (Tuu-Ashuu Pass); km 198–255 (Chychkan Gorge, Ala-Bel Pass);
Suusamyr - Talas - Taraz: km 1–14 (Otmok Pass);
Myza-Ake - Kara-Kuldja - Alayku: km 55–115;
Ala-Buka - Kanysh-Kiya: km 45–112 (Chapchyma Pass);
Krasnaya Gorka - Akhtash: km 0–3;
Sary-Tash - Daroot-Korgon - Karamyk: km 97–98;
Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart: km 292–305 (Dolon Pass);
Aral - Min-Kush: km 1–14;
Balykchy - Kazarman - Jalal-Abad: km 326–349 (Kok-Art Pass);
Karakol - Enilchek: km 45–90 (Chon-Ashuu Pass).

In this regard, drivers are strongly advised to maintain a safe distance of at least 500 meters, take into account changes in weather conditions, and, if possible, avoid traveling on mountain routes unless absolutely necessary.
