During his working visit to the Issyk-Kul region, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev familiarized himself with the progress of the solar power plant construction in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk. The information was provided by the government's press service.
The construction of the solar power plant "Issyk-Kul-1" began in September 2025.
The project aims to achieve a total installed capacity of 1,900 MW and involves investments of $1.4 billion. The power plant is expected to produce 3.6 billion kWh of clean energy annually.
The implementation of the project is taking place in several phases:
– first phase — 150 MW;
– second phase — 450 MW;
– third phase — 1,300 MW.
The completion of the entire "Issyk-Kul-1" solar power plant complex is planned for 2028.
