The capital repair of the tourist complex "Sayakat" and the hotel complex "Dostuk" continues in Bishkek. This was reported by the Directorate for the Management of Sanatorium-Resort, Health and Tourist Facilities under the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This project involves a complete modernization of the infrastructure and engineering systems, as well as attracting significant investments. This will significantly increase rental income to the budget, which, in turn, will raise the level of these facilities to international standards and strengthen the tourism potential of the capital.
As part of the project, a Russian company has already invested 5 million US dollars in the tourist complex "Sayakat." For the complete renovation of the hotel complex "Dostuk," the amount of attracted investments ranges from 15 to 25 million US dollars. As clarified by the institution, after the hotel "Dostuk" was transferred to the Directorate's management, 35.59% of the shares, which were previously owned by a private shareholder, returned to state ownership.
It should be noted that during the renovation, the hotel complex "Dostuk" will be closed. Despite this, the investor, in addition to significant investments in the renovation, has committed to timely payment of rental fees, which amount to 40 million 800 thousand soms per year. Starting from the fourth quarter of 2027, the rental fee will double to 80 million 580 thousand soms, and from 2029 to 2049, it will increase to 100 million 900 thousand soms per year.
“This agreement is the most beneficial and economically justified project in the entire history of the hotel complex ‘Dostuk’,” the institution emphasizes. It is also worth noting that for many years both complexes have not undergone a full repair and needed significant modernization. Over time, their technical condition deteriorated, and the engineering networks became outdated. In particular, the electrical systems and equipment did not meet modern safety standards, creating a risk of fires and threatening the lives of guests and staff. Additionally, the water supply and sewage systems have not been updated for many years.
As part of the capital repair, according to agreements with investors, the electrical systems will be completely modernized, and safe, energy-efficient equipment will be installed. Furthermore, the water supply and sewage systems will be updated using modern technologies. A complete renovation of the roof, facades, and interior spaces is also planned, and the heating systems will be restored.
The timely start of repair work will bring the hotel complexes up to international standards, and in the near future, "Sayakat" and "Dostuk" will take their rightful place among leading facilities.
