According to the information from the press service of the mayor's office, the mayor noted that local authorities are obliged to create modern conditions for trade, and at the same time, entrepreneurs must conduct their activities only in designated areas.
Akayev stressed that the leaders and their deputies are responsible for order, and the municipal inspection, along with the police and relevant departments of the mayor's office, will constantly monitor compliance with the rules on the streets.
During the raid, the mayor addressed the traders, acknowledging their difficulties, but emphasized that "the city must function according to established rules." He noted that if leniency is allowed for one seller now, many may appear tomorrow, leading to chaos.
Akayev insisted that all those wishing to engage in trade should be directed to the new market of the city, where they will be provided with available spaces and official contracts will be concluded. "Street trading is unacceptable. If you want to work — go to the market, formalize the contract, and get a place," he added.
Furthermore, the mayor instructed representatives of the mayor's office and the police to monitor the operations of auto services, oil change points, markets, and kiosks that were previously closed for violations, to ensure they do not resume their activities without the necessary permits.
Akayev warned that if the heads of services do not comply with his instructions, measures will be taken against them in the shortest possible time. He stated that a "strict order" needs to be established in the city, and the initiated actions must be brought to a logical conclusion.
