Last year, the city budget received 82 million 868 thousand soms from parking and additional services, including electric charging stations and rotary parking.
Ergeshov also questioned why markets charge 50 soms instead of 25. Aseynov explained that this is due to the fact that some parking lots have been leased to entrepreneurs. To improve the situation, there are plans to implement parking payment via QR codes.
In the first half of the year, it is planned to install another thousand QR codes, and in the second half, another thousand, which will cover 80% of parking spaces.“The pilot project for installing QR codes has already been implemented on five streets: Turusbekova, Bezymyannaya (near the Orto-Sai market), Orozbekova, Togolok Moldo, and Ibraimova. This year, it is planned to cover Shopokova Street as well,” Aseynov added, emphasizing that the installation of 203 QR codes increased revenue from 600 thousand to 1.6 million soms.
Ergeshov expressed dissatisfaction with the condition of Shopokova Street, highlighting that traffic jams often occur there due to the large flow of vehicles. He also asked how the enterprise plans to deal with violators who do not pay for parking.
Aseynov responded that violations for non-payment are recorded using cameras, and video footage is sent to the Patrol Police Department. “A project is also being developed to use modern drones for monitoring,” he added.
Ergeshov reminded that the city hall had previously promised to increase parking revenues to 200 million soms; however, in his opinion, this is impossible without proper control. “I provided you with a person who was ready to lease the parking lots, but he was told that all contracts had already been signed until the end of the year. You have your own schemes, corruption, and mafia. We need to create a commission to investigate this situation,” the deputy concluded.
In response, Aseynov noted that with full digitalization, parking revenues could exceed 200 million soms.
