At the initiative of the local administration, protective structures are being built in four gorges, and irrigation channels are being laid in areas where there is a real threat of mudflows.
As part of the program to increase the resilience of the city of Naryn, dams are being constructed in the RTS area and in the "Zhetigen" locality of the Ak-Korgon village, as well as in the gorges of "Chong Chyrgayluu," "Beishenaliev," and "Suu Saktagych" to protect against mudflows. Additionally, the creation of drainage channels is planned on Chong Tash Street.
A meeting discussing issues related to reducing the risk of mud flooding and ensuring safety for local residents was held with the participation of the city mayor, the head of the Naryn regional emergency management department, and representatives of the local population. As a result of this meeting, a decision was made to commence the necessary work.
