An underground drug lab was dismantled in Bishkek

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, an underground drug laboratory has been dismantled, where over 4 kilograms of drugs were seized, according to information from the press service of the city’s Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the agency, operatives from the Drug Control Service received information about illegal activities. As a result of the conducted operations, one citizen, D.G., born in 2005, voluntarily surrendered a syringe containing a substance with a characteristic smell of cannabis, specifically hash oil, weighing 12.98 grams.

An examination confirmed that the seized substance is cannabis oil, and its net weight without packaging was 5.86 grams.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production of drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale.

During the investigation, D.G. reported that he had purchased this substance from an acquaintance. As a result of operational activities, his accomplice was identified — A.L., born in 1994.

It was revealed that the suspects had created a laboratory in an apartment for the illegal production of drugs, effectively organizing a den for their manufacture and subsequent sale.

As part of the investigation, a Telegram channel through which the suspects were illegally distributing drugs was also identified and shut down.

The suspects are currently in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs.

Law enforcement agencies urge citizens to be vigilant and report any instances of illegal drug trafficking to the authorities.
