GKNB: Teenagers in Kyrgyzstan are being recruited into terrorism through social networks
In Kyrgyzstan, alarming trends have been recorded: over the past six months, there have been mass cases of recruitment of teenagers into the ranks of radicals. The main method used by recruiters is the use of social networks and messengers, leading to a critical situation: several minors have been detained while in the process of preparing terrorist acts. Some of them were studying instructions on how to create explosive devices, while others were caught while making explosives.

Law enforcement agencies note that the recruitment processes occur covertly — initially under the guise of friendly communication. As a result, teenagers begin to lose touch with reality and become tools in the hands of criminal groups. In this regard, the GKNB strongly recommends that parents closely monitor their children's behavior. Dangerous signals may include sudden withdrawal, distancing from family, the manifestation of aggressive views, hidden contacts with unfamiliar people on the internet, and interest in closed groups with questionable content. It is also a cause for concern if a child begins to justify violence or demonstrate hostility towards relatives.

Experts emphasize that prevention depends on open communication within the family and reasonable control over online activity. It is important not only to monitor children but also to explain to them the unacceptability of radical ideas so that they can recognize manipulations in a timely manner. In case of suspicious signs, citizens are urged to immediately contact local GKNB offices. The fight against the spread of dangerous ideologies in the country continues at an intensified pace, as forming immunity to extremism is a common task for society and families.
