
Since March 1, Gabriela Popescu has taken the position of head of Microsoft in Romania, Moldova, and Central Asia. This was announced in the company's press release.
Popescu has significant experience at the intersection of law, business, and technology.
“Her deep knowledge in commerce and regulation, as well as her ability to build trusting relationships with key partners in Central and Eastern Europe, make her a valuable asset for the company. She has been with Microsoft Romania since 2017, and in recent years has served as acting CEO while also overseeing corporate, legal, and external affairs in Central Europe, supporting important strategic initiatives of the company,” the statement notes.
Gabriela emphasized that Microsoft brings together talented professionals and ambitious digital goals.
“In my new role, I plan to actively engage with clients, partners, and government agencies to promote the effective use of cloud technologies and AI-based solutions to create real value, enhance resilience, and contribute to long-term economic growth,” she added.
