It is important to note that the Children's Protection Center (CPC) was established in 1998 with the aim of protecting the rights and interests of children who find themselves in difficult life situations. The CPC includes a shelter for children who have suffered from violence, as well as two day centers located near the "Dordoy" and Osh markets. These centers are attended by children living in challenging conditions.
Children attending the day centers often grow up in poor families and lack parental attention. Some of them are forced to work to help their families. Social workers at the CPC assist in enrolling children in school, provide them with hot lunches, and conduct classes. For many children, having a meal at the day center is the only hot dish they have in a day.
The shelter typically accommodates 50 to 60 children per year, providing them with psychological rehabilitation and the opportunity to continue their education. Funding for the shelter and day centers is provided through donor and sponsorship support. However, given the changing economic situation and rising food prices, the costs of providing children with necessary products are rapidly increasing.
