Three shelters for the homeless in Bishkek have started operating to provide temporary shelter during the cold months. These facilities are located in the 12th microdistrict, at the "Kolomto" center on Jibek Jolu Avenue, and at the Public Foundation "Center of Mercy," which focuses on helping women with children.

The shelter in the southern part of the capital has a capacity of 80 places and is equipped with everything necessary: repairs have been made, coal has been stocked, and bedding, medications, and food for preparing hot meals have been provided.

The "Kolomto" center can accommodate up to 70 people, but if necessary, its capacity can be expanded to a hundred residents. Here, overnight stays, medical examinations, including fluorography and tests for HIV and hepatitis, as well as sanitary processing are provided.

The shelter located at the "Center of Mercy" can accommodate up to 45 women with children. They are provided with hot meals, overnight stays, and medical and social-legal assistance.
