85 officials punished for violations of the conflict of interest law in public service

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 12, Deputy Attorney General Zalkarbek Ak Nazarov reported that 85 officials were held accountable in 2025 for violating the conflict of interest law.

Deputies discussed amendments to the conflict of interest law, and Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova raised the issue of holding violators accountable.

According to Ak Nazarov, more than 70 inspections were conducted in 2025, during which 172 violations were identified. One official was fined for failing to comply with regulatory acts, and 84 individuals faced disciplinary actions. The main violators were employees of state institutions and local authorities who failed to submit declarations of their personal interests or used municipal property for personal purposes.
