On March 16, Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev met with Askar Salymbekov, president of the 'Dordoy' Association, to discuss plans for improving the market area, including the lake and neighboring plots. The information was provided by the press service of the city hall.
The mayor emphasized that the city supports business, but development must occur within established norms. In this regard, large-scale work is planned in the area near the lake.
The project includes fencing the lake, cleaning and organizing the nearby territory, as well as creating a walking area, which will make the space safer and more convenient for residents and visitors to the city.
As part of the overall improvement of the market infrastructure, the construction of multi-level parking lots and the organization of parking spaces are also planned.
The mayor ordered that all parking areas in the market territory be transferred to the municipality's balance with the implementation of a payment system via QR codes.
Askar Salymbekov reported that the construction of roads in the market area is scheduled to begin on April 1, 2026.

As a result of the meeting, Aibek Junushaliev instructed the Sverdlovsk District Administration, the Municipal Property Management, and Land Use Control to complete the preparatory work, including the dismantling of objects that hinder the improvement around the lake and the implementation of infrastructure projects.
