In response, the press service of the Ministry of Health disseminated a comment from KGMA. The university noted that according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 25, 1999, and the protocol of the meeting of the Academic Council No. 6 dated March 26, 1999, a training-treatment-research state medical center - Academic Clinic No. 1 KGMA was established at the academy.
The academy also emphasized that the main task of the clinic is to provide highly qualified and specialized medical assistance to the population, using modern equipment and implementing the latest achievements in medicine, as well as developing scientific research in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals.
The founder of Academic Clinic No. 1 is the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev, which trains medical specialists for the country's healthcare system.
As noted by KGMA, "Academic Clinic No. 1 has special significance, as it serves as a clinical base for the educational process. Within the walls of the clinic, practical training for students and interns takes place, as well as scientific research for graduate and doctoral students," the academy representatives added.
The presence of such a state clinic, as indicated by the academy, contributes to the close integration of education, clinical practice, and scientific research, which is necessary for training qualified medical personnel for Kyrgyzstan.
"Thus, Academic Clinic No. 1 KGMA plays a key role in the field of healthcare and medical education, ensuring the training of specialists, the development of medicine, and the provision of specialized medical assistance," concluded the press service of the Medical Academy.
