As part of the project to expand Profsoyuznaya Street in Bishkek, the demolition of various structures is actively underway. Over the past week, more than 150 objects that obstructed road construction have been demolished.
According to information from the press service of the mayor's office, among the demolished objects were 58 capital fences, 17 foundations, 41 light fences, 22 toilets, 14 utility buildings, as well as 2 pavilions and 1 container.

The demolition work is being carried out by the land use control department, which monitors objects located on municipal land. The process of clearing the area of constructions will continue until the site is ready for road construction.
It should be noted that recently the question arose about how exactly the new road would be laid: through the cemetery or around it. After active discussions, the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, met with the residents of the MTU "Novopavlovka." The main issue was the construction of the road near the local cemetery.
As a result, the authorities decided to construct the road around the cemetery; however, this is associated with the need to demolish private houses and other structures. The mayor promised to provide compensation to the owners of the plots and houses that fall within the zone of the new road project.
