Forecasters warn of adverse weather
From March 24 to 28, unstable weather is predicted in Kyrgyzstan, leading to an increased risk of avalanches in mountainous areas and raising the likelihood of snow drifts, according to information from Kyrgyzhydromet.
The most dangerous sections of the roads include:
Bishkek — Osh (121–138 km — To-Ashuu Pass; 198–255 km — Chychkan Gorge, Ala-Bel Pass);
Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya (68–74, 88–95 km — Chapchyma Pass);
Krasnaya Gorka — Ak-Tash (0–2 km);
Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart (292–305 km — Dolon Pass);
Balakchy — Kazarman — Jalal-Abad (201, 205, 260, 290, 326, 349 km — Kok-Art Pass);
Karakol — Enilchek (45–90 km — Chon-Ashuu Pass).
Icy conditions and snow accumulation may form on the roads. Drivers are strongly advised to exercise caution and maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
