
Storm warning from Kyrgyzhydromet
Kyrgyzhydromet has warned of potential danger in the mountains: from February 23 to February 26, avalanches and ice are forecasted due to rising temperatures.
Avalanche-prone areas are marked on the following routes:
- Bishkek-Osh from 121 to 138 km (Töö-Ashuu pass),
- Bishkek-Osh from 198 to 265 km (Ala-Bel pass, Chychkan gorge),
- Myrza-Ake-Kara-Kulja-Alaikuu from 55 to 115 km,
- Ala-Buka-Kanysh-Kyya from 45 to 112 km (Chapchima pass),
- Krasnaya-Gorka-Aktash from 0 to 3 km,
- Sary-Tash-Daroot-Korgon-Karamyk from 97 to 98 km,
- Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart from 292 to 305 km (Dolon pass),
- Aral-Ming-Kush from 1 to 14 km, Aral-Suusamyr from 8 to 21 km,
- Balikchy-Kazarman-Jalal-Abad from 201 to 205 km,
- 260-290 km and 326-349 km (Kök-Art pass),
- Karakol-Enilchek from 45 to 90 km (Chon-Ashuu pass).
When traveling through avalanche-prone areas, drivers are strongly advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
