In the Batken region, Colonel of Police and Head of the Internal Affairs Department Ulan Zhukenov held a series of meetings with local residents, reports Turmush correspondent.

From March 24 to 29 of this year, these meetings aimed to create an open dialogue between the population and the internal affairs bodies of Kyrgyzstan, as well as to improve the transparency of police work.

The first meeting took place in the Leilek district and the city of Suluktu, where Ulan Zhukenov spoke about measures to prevent crime and the work of the police. He also noted the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and discussed new buildings and digital services that have been put into operation. Local residents' feedback about the police was positive.

In the Kadamjai district, issues of road safety were discussed, and some of them were resolved right during the meeting.

Citizens of Kyzyl-Kiya suggested improving lighting in certain parts of the city and installing video cameras to enhance safety.

During meetings with residents of Batken and the Batken district, social issues, cybercrime, the activities of citizens working temporarily abroad, as well as problems faced by hunters and the lack of traffic lights were addressed.

Overall, none of the participants in the meetings expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the police.
