Experts of 'Big Altai' held meetings with schoolchildren of the Kyrgyz Republic

A series of educational events took place in Kyrgyzstan, organized by experts from the scientific and educational center of Altai studies and Turkology "Big Altai" at Altai State University.

As part of a new educational project, lectures for high school students were conducted by the leading specialist of the center, Ivan Nazarov, who also serves as the director of the Institute of History and International Relations at Altai State University. The events were held at Gymnasium No. 24 named after Aaly Tokombaev in Bishkek and Lyceum No. 14 named after S. Davletov in Manas.

During the meetings, students were informed about the activities of the "Big Altai" center, as well as the prospects for admission and study at Altai State University.

On March 23, a meeting of high school students with Ivan Nazarov and the director of the center's representative office at the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Jamyikat Omurova, took place in Bishkek. Nazarov shared his experience in the field of ethnography and the specifics of scientific research, while Omurova provided information about the work of the representative office at KNU.

It is worth noting that a thematic classroom "Big Altai" is already functioning at Gymnasium No. 24, and the opening of a specialized lecture hall is planned for May.

On March 25, the events continued at Lyceum No. 14 in Manas, where Ivan Nazarov presented the documentary film "In Search of Common History," which tells about the international ethnographic expedition of the center. The screening sparked lively interest among the students, who actively asked questions about life in Altai and the admission conditions for Altai State University.

The project organizers emphasized that the initiative of the "Big Altai" center includes educational programs, methodological seminars, and lectures dedicated to the study of the historical and cultural heritage of Turkic-speaking peoples. This initiative involves the participation of scholars from Russia and Central Asian countries, as well as the development of academic exchanges and additional education programs.
