The goal of this decision is to combine financial, material, and intellectual resources to enhance the competitiveness of higher education in Kyrgyzstan on the international stage. This initiative is being implemented as part of the presidential decree on measures in the field of education.
After the completion of the joining process, KNU will become the legal successor of all reorganized universities. The Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations will be tasked with developing a new university charter, conducting its state re-registration, and ensuring the continuity of the educational process. At the same time, funding for educational grants will remain within the framework of the republican budget.
At the same time, previous government decisions regarding the establishment and status of Batken, Talas, and Naryn state universities will be rendered invalid.
The resolution will come into effect ten days after its adoption.
