He stated that a real campaign has been launched against him. On March 17, the Central Election Commission announced the need for an additional check of his biography, and shortly thereafter, a video with defamatory claims from an anonymous author registered abroad was published on YouTube.
According to Aydarbekov, everything presented in this video is outright lies.
“Three key issues are raised there: smuggling, a note on visas, and an apartment. Regarding each of them, I can say the following: the accusations of smuggling are fabricated. There is no evidence, and they will find nothing,” he noted.
As for the second issue—the note on visas—Aydarbekov added: “You, who slander me, do not possess the necessary knowledge. If such a note is received, a service investigation begins. Mistakes are quickly rectified, and a persona non grata cannot enter the country. Over the past ten years, I have repeatedly traveled to Turkmenistan and held negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country, Rashid Meredov, which contributed to the improvement of bilateral relations.”
The third point concerns the apartment. Aydarbekov explained that he purchased the property in 2016 and has all the necessary documents, including a loan agreement with "Optima Bank" for $50,000 and confirmations from the construction company that he has no debts.
Since 2016, the former deputy has declared information about his loan. There is also a court decision confirming his ownership of the apartment, which was approved by the Supreme Court,” he added.
Aydarbekov also reported that since September 2022, he and his family have been pursued by the GKNB officers. At that time, an agreement with Uzbekistan regarding Kemir-Abad was being discussed in parliament, and he was one of those who expressed criticism of this document. According to him, GKNB officers conducted checks in search of compromising information about him and his relatives.
“They failed to find anything, so they began to latch onto the issue of the apartment, as there were no other leads. In this defamatory campaign, they made ordinary people speak out against me. However, after changes in the GKNB, all issues were resolved, and there is a settlement agreement. I have already informed the current leadership about those who previously abused their position in the GKNB. I am confident they will be held accountable for their actions,” concluded Aydarbekov.
The former deputy also expressed the opinion that his detractors seek to tarnish his reputation in the eyes of the country's leadership.
“I know the names of those who spread false information and manipulate it. I receive information about this. Hypocrites, you do not fear God, you are provocateurs. Sycophants are fickle: today they are with you, tomorrow against you. But the truth will always find its way,” he summarized.
