In 2025, Russia Sent Twice as Many Convicted Migrants Back to Their Home Countries
At a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova emphasized the importance of accelerating the processes for transferring foreign convicts to their home countries. She noted that she often receives requests from women from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan asking for help in transferring their relatives from Russian prisons back to their homeland.
