During the visit, the official inspected the emergency medical care department at the National Hospital, as well as facilities that are under renovation.
The chief physician, Bakyt Tologonov, reported that the reconstruction of the intensive care unit is nearing completion, and the work on creating a reference laboratory is expected to be finished by the end of April.
The project to establish a reference laboratory is being implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank and aims to create a centralized laboratory base for urban hospitals. This will allow the National Hospital to conduct laboratory tests for clinics in Bishkek, improving the quality of diagnostics and implementing unified standards.
Osmonov also familiarized himself with the work of the central emergency care department, which has been actively functioning for over a year and a half and has become popular among the population.
During the visit, key areas for further improving the work of this department were identified, including the creation of a shock room, equipping the units further, and organizing continuous ECG monitoring for patients in the intensive care unit.
In addition, the minister's attention was drawn to the Kyrgyz Scientific Center for Human Reproduction. He was tasked with developing practical proposals to improve indicators in the field of maternal health protection and to strengthen the scientific potential of the center.
