In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Victor Osimhen shared details about the conflict that led to his departure from Napoli.
According to the forward, a critical moment in his career was a video published by the club that mocked his penalty miss. The player noted that after this, he faced a wave of insults, including racist remarks, which made it impossible to continue working in such an environment. Despite this, head coach Antonio Conte expressed a desire to keep the player in the team.
Osimhen also mentioned interest from Juventus and other clubs in Serie A; however, Napoli's management did not rush to organize his transfer, which forced the forward to make a decision about his future on his own.
At the moment, Osimhen plays for Galatasaray, where, according to him, he has found inner peace again and is fully focused on his performances, especially in the Champions League, while maintaining respect for the fans of the Neapolitan club.
