The Kyrgyz wrestler Zholaman Sharshenbekov has been excluded from the United World Wrestling (UWW) rankings.

This updated ranking was formed based on the results of a tournament held in Albania.

At the Olympic Games in Paris, Sharshenbekov won bronze in the 60 kg weight category, and by the end of 2024, he was in second place.

After a long break of almost a year, the athlete returned to the mat. In the summer of 2025, he announced his move to a new weight category of 63 kg, where he won a tournament in Poland.

Since then, he has not participated in competitions and underwent surgery at the end of the year.

In the updated UWW rankings, Sharshenbekov is absent in both the 60 kg and 63 kg categories.

In February of this year, he participated in a training camp for the Kyrgyzstan national team, which took place in Croatia.
