JSC "Ala-Too Resort" has signed an agreement with Doppelmayr for the construction of four new cable cars at the "Jyrgalan" resort. This information was published by representatives of JSC "Ala-Too Resort".

The document was signed by Valery Yashin, head of the Doppelmayr division for Russia and the CIS, and Zharkynbek Maksutov, chairman of the board of JSC "Ala-Too Resort".

This agreement is a continuation of a large-scale project to create a modern ski resort in the Issyk-Kul region. As part of a previous contract signed last year, two main cable cars are currently under active construction, which are planned to be put into operation in May of this year.

“According to the new agreement, by the end of the year, four more cable cars will be built in Jyrgalan, which will increase the total length of the cable lines to over 8 kilometers and the ski trails to 46 kilometers by December,” the statement said.
First Stage of Resort Development

Valery Yashin emphasized that the contract signed last year was a catalyst for the large-scale construction of the new resort. During this time, not only are infrastructure projects being implemented, but a master plan for the comprehensive development of Jyrgalan is also being developed.

The master plan includes not only cable cars but also all the necessary infrastructure for the resort.

“This year, in addition to the construction of lifts, large-scale work on the mountain is planned to create a full-service complex. Our goal is to provide tourists with a level of service comparable to the best ski resorts in the world by December,” he noted.
Modern Technologies and International Experience

Company representatives reported that the equipment being installed at the resort meets the most modern standards in the field. Doppelmayr implements projects in 96 countries, and the construction of such a large-scale resort in Kyrgyzstan will be the company's first in the country.

Particular attention is paid to the quality of both the lifts and the entire resort infrastructure, which is being created at a high international level.

Construction in Challenging Conditions

Despite the difficult mountainous terrain and unfavorable climatic conditions, the contractor is confident in meeting deadlines. About 60% of the company's projects are successfully implemented in high-altitude areas. The Doppelmayr portfolio includes projects for the construction of lifts at altitudes of up to 4,000 meters above sea level.

The company also notes that it has significant experience working in winter conditions, including the creation of technological corridors and the delivery of equipment to snow-covered areas.

“Construction in Jyrgalan is proceeding with high intensity, and in some areas, work is ahead of schedule. We plan to launch the first lifts by the end of May, and the completion of the first phase of the project is scheduled for December of this year,” concluded JSC "Ala-Too Resort".
