In the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the establishment of a new branch of troops — unmanned systems troops — has been completed. This was reported in an interview with KP.RU by Colonel Sergey Ishtuganov, who holds the position of Deputy Chief of the new troops.
According to Ishtuganov, the organizational structure has already been established, a leader for the unmanned systems has been appointed, and military command bodies have been created across the country.
He noted that "the authorized regiments and other units have been successfully formed."
In addition, the colonel mentioned that the combat operations of the unmanned systems units are carried out according to an agreed plan and in close cooperation with other military branches. This allows for the effective integration of unmanned technologies into the overall command system on the battlefield.
