The head of the GKNB urged border guards to preserve traditions
During his working trip to the Batken region, Colonel General Kamchybek Tashiev, serving as the chairman of the GKNB and deputy chairman of the cabinet of ministers, visited the border outpost "Zhany-Zher." Information about this was published by the press center of the GKNB.
At the site of the visit, Tashiev familiarized himself with the conditions of service for the border guards, as well as the living conditions of their families.
During his communication with the personnel of the outpost, he paid attention to the musical instruments used by the soldiers and inquired about their leisure activities.
Learning that the soldiers were learning to play the komuz, he emphasized the importance of preserving national cultural heritage. "The komuz should be in first place, and the guitar – in second. This is our identity and the legacy of our ancestors. Thanks to the komuz, we remain Kyrgyz and pass this tradition on to future generations," Tashiev noted.
Additionally, during the meeting, he discussed service-related issues and living conditions with the military personnel. When asked about the presence of non-statutory relationships, they assured him that such cases were not observed.
At the end of his visit, the head of the GKNB honored the memory of fallen heroes at the Eternal Flame on the territory of the outpost and familiarized himself with the living conditions of the soldiers' families.
