JSC "Central Laboratory of Measuring Instruments and Automation" in the city of Kara-Balta
Since its establishment in 1955, this multi-profile manufacturing enterprise has developed all stages of the production activities of the Kara-Balta Mining and Processing Plant, as well as many other enterprises in the city of Kara-Balta and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Among their tasks are the automation of boiler houses, pumping stations, etc. (1955-60), mastering the repair and automation of mining equipment and processing plants (1960-65). They expanded the range of repaired devices in the fields of medical technology, radio electronics, municipal and resort equipment, and telephony (1970), modernized hydrometallurgical production, and implemented automated control systems (1970-75), mastered uranium extraction through underground leaching (1975-80), automated mining processing complexes for three underground leaching deposits, manufactured equipment and devices, carried out technical installation and commissioning works, and managed the disposal of explosive materials (1980-85), modernized the gold and tin extraction plant, and developed new types of products, including the production of respirators and the serial manufacturing of welding machines. They modernized and introduced new devices at ZSI, TPP, ARZ, RMZ (1985-90), mastered the assembly production of imported equipment (refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, irons, etc.) at the "Electroterm" plant, designed automation systems for the "Cholpon" factory, provided electric heating for industrial and civil facilities, developed flow measuring devices for various purposes, and designed and implemented security alarm systems and industrial television (1990-1995).
In the last five years, the laboratory has been privatized, established cooperation with the German company "Siemens," and, with its help, opened a republican technical center for the implementation of automated devices in production.
The laboratory has organized advanced training and retraining courses for specialists in new areas of technical development of infrastructure using modern computing technology. The Central Laboratory of Automation and Instrumentation manufactures sample and testing equipment for the needs of Kyrgyzstandard upon request. In 2000, they mastered and began producing special measuring instruments in the experimental workshop that can quickly and easily check the accuracy of gasoline dispensing at gas stations. Such instruments have long been needed by regulatory services, but until now, they had not been produced in our republic.
Today, the specialists of JSC "Central Laboratory of Automation and Instrumentation" are solving a number of tasks related to the control and decontamination of existing and imported radioactive materials, as well as identifying areas of radiation background. For a long time, the laboratory was headed by Igor Anatolyevich Ershov, a candidate of technical sciences, awarded in 1991 with a Certificate of Honor from President Askar Akayev for mastering progressive technologies in engineering.
Later, the laboratory was headed by his son, Kirill Igorievich Ershov.
