RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY OF THE KYRGYZ SSR ON THE PARTIAL COMMISSIONING OF THE PHYSICAL INSTRUMENTS PLANT FROM JANUARY 1, 1958

The Council of the National Economy of the Kyrgyz SSR resolves:
1. To partially commission the Physical Instruments Plant on January 1, 1958, in the composition of the auxiliary workshops block, with a production area of 2400 m2.
2. The Department of Heavy Industry Engineering (Comrade Seledkov Yu.V.) shall establish a production plan for the plant for 1958 in accordance with the national economic plan for 1958.
3. Considering the complexity and uniqueness of the equipment and instruments included in the plant's production plan, to classify the Physical Instruments Plant for the payment of labor to engineering and technical workers and employees as category 1 in accordance with the resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated April 4, 1946, No. 4447-r and November 12, 1956, No. 6673-r.

The firstborn of instrument engineering in Central Asia - the under-construction Frunze Physical Instruments Plant - has begun to produce products. On March 5, the assembly of the first batch of centrifuges for separating liquids by specific weight and isolating sediments was completed. Instruments of this design have been mastered in the Soviet Union for the first time. They are intended for use in clinics, biophysical, and other medical research institutes. By the end of the half-year, 200 centrifuges will be produced.
... Serial production of devices for electrophoresis on paper is being mastered.
They produce automatic recording of the analysis of complex protein compounds. What the device accomplishes in just 2-3 minutes usually takes a scientific employee 5 hours. This year, 100 such devices will be produced.
Another device being developed is the "Electronic Level Alarm." Using photoelements, it constantly reports the level of liquids and granular bulk materials in closed tanks, where precise measurement by other methods is impossible.
The device will find wide application in flour milling, sugar, cement, oil refining, and other enterprises. Another purpose of this device is automatic control of the combustion process in the boilers of powerful boiler installations.
The creation of its own instrument engineering is a significant event in the development of the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
