In Bishkek, the documentary series "Nomadic Craft" will be presented

On December 17, a documentary series titled "Nomadic Craft" will be launched in Bishkek, dedicated to the traditional crafts of the Kyrgyz people. This information was announced by the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan.

The project was developed by the public fund "Tamchy Tasma" under the direction of director Gulnur Kanat.

The series consists of 15 episodes, each lasting 10 minutes. The episodes provide detailed insights into various aspects of culture, such as yurts, taara weaving, the creation of beshiks, embroidery of tush kiyiz, technologies for making shyrdak, kuraka, horse gear, jewelry, carpet weaving, as well as national clothing and headwear of the Kyrgyz. To present the information in a more vivid and modern way, 3D animations are used, making the content more appealing to a youth audience.

The preparation of the documentary series was supported by the Department of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic. The premiere of the films will be broadcast on national television channels and online platforms, including the YouTube channel of the "Tamchy Tasma" fund.

Gulnur Kanat, the project's author and director, noted that the main goal of the initiative is to preserve and promote cultural heritage, as well as to increase interest in national traditions and pass on the values of the Kyrgyz people to future generations.
