The digitalization of the agricultural sector continues to be a priority direction in the country, where several initiatives are already being implemented. This was reported on November 27 at the Digital Farmer Hackathon 2025 by Oleg Guchgeldiev, a representative of FAO in Kyrgyzstan.

He emphasized that the application of digital technologies contributes not only to increasing production efficiency but also to improving supply management, as well as addressing issues such as climate change, access to markets, and combating pests and diseases. However, it is worth noting that the agricultural sector remains one of the least digitized areas.

Guchgeldiev also pointed out that the Digital Farmer Hackathon aligns with the overall strategy for digitalization in agriculture.

He recalled the Agro Hackathon held in 2021, which led to the development of specific solutions, and expressed hope that the current hackathon will also yield positive results.
